The Bride
Estefanía was born in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. She lived there with her mother Martha, father Fabio, and big brother Daniel. Then, when Estefi was 13, she made the big move to the united states, where she lived in Pembroke Pines, Florida with her mother Martha, stepfather Julio (a.k.a July), and big brother Daniel. Years later, after finishing her undergrad in Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, she began her master’s degree in School Counseling at Florida International University’s College of Education (COE). She was blessed with a job as a Graduate Assistant at COE, and it was there that she would meet a man that would change her life forever…
The Groom
Jonathan was born in Miami, Florida. He lived there with his father Daniel, mother Rebecca, and little brother David. From a young age Jon plotted a creative path that led him to the computer graphics magnet program at South Miami Senior High School. Then for college he pursued an Art/English Literature degree at Florida International University. There at FIU he got a job as a part-time web designer. This job eventually led to a full-time IT job at FIU’s College of Education, once he graduated. This full-time job would lead Jonathan right into the path of a woman who would change his life forever…
A Love Story
What seemed like a routine computer repair job turned out to be a life-changing experience. Jonny went to repair a computer in the conference room at COE and overheard a group of people seated at the table having a discussion over lunch. They were discussing marriage, and one person in particular stood out from the crowd. “I’m a Christian” Estefi began, and continued to explain her views on marriage to the rest of the people seated at the table. She had Jonny’s attention from across the room and she didn’t even know. Then, in the same breath, Estefi told a joke that had the whole room laughing – including Jonny. He was spellbound. He set out on a journey, with the help of his coworker (and wingman) Andres, to find out more about this wonderful woman. Two months later Jonny finally got the courage to ask Estefi for her Facebook. Fast forward, past the trip to Disney with work friends; the first date; all the ups and downs; all the growing and learning together; all the way to the end of 2013, where Jonny asked Estefi’s family if he could have her hand in marriage, and they gave him their blessing! Then, right at the end of 2013, on a vacation to North Carolina Jonny asked Estefi to marry him – and she said yes!
Thank You Family!
I cannot thank my family enough. Raising me was a labor of love, and I cannot put enough emphasis on the astronomical value of their love and care for me! They’ve been there for me through all the good and bad times. My dad has been there sharing his passion for music, technology and art with me. My mom has been there sharing her passion for art and the humanities. But most of all, I appreciate the spiritual richness my parents have always valued; leading me by example and instruction. And of course, I love my little brother, who has been by my side, my best friend – sharing with me in all the passions our parents instilled in us! I am so undeservedly blessed by the Lord to have such a wonderful family! I treasure all of you!
Jonathan
I was blessed to be born into a wonderful family composed of dad, mom and big brother. Then, when I was thirteen, I was blessed (again) to become part of another loving family, welcoming July as my step dad and Vicky as my step sister. None of the wonderful things that have happened in my life would have been possible without my amazing family. Mami is my inspiration of a godly woman and I can only hope to be like her one day. Papi has always been there for me and loves me unconditionally, Dani is the BEST big brother a girl could ask for, and July has supported me and loved me for the past twelve years. The Lord truly blessed me with this – unconventional and beautiful – family!

Laura
The best Realtor, Sister-in-law, travel companion (and many other things) ever! Can’t wait to live three minutes away from each other and do (more) fun stuff together!
Sandra
My sister in law who loves and (keeps up with) my crazy brother! I was so blessed to be part of their wedding and to have her in my family for the past four years. (Also, she’s my favorite person by default because she’s carrying my niece/nephew).
Stefania
A.k.a “Toquis” my bestest of friends! We’ve known each other forever and have a million stories and inside jokes. Now we are old, married women but we still find a way to have fun!

A great friend and co-worker – hardworking and loyal. I owe a lot to him and his help with getting Estefi and I together – he’s truly earned the title of Wingman!

It’s so awesome that Estefi has a brother with so many of the same interests as me! What a great guy! He’s been an awesome help to Estefi and I in our transition to marriage. I look forward to more fun times with Dani, Sandra and their little one!
David
My definite best man – David has been there with me through thick and thin. We’ve got so much more to go in life, and I’m so glad I have this crazy guy to match and exceed my level of craziness along the way!
